By Nicolette Torani '19 After Fontbonne Hall Academy held their Walkathon on Oct. 6, 2017, Lifestream hosted a faculty versus student volleyball game for all to attend. Ms. Danielle Bittleman, the leader of Lifestream, organized the event along with student members of the club.
Lifestream sent out a form to the school to buy a $10 shirt that supported this event. The club sold baked goods, pink lemonade, and breast cancer awareness products in the courtyard before the game started at 11:30 a.m. in the gym. Ms. Bittleman said, “"Lifestream was pleased to host the Faculty-student volleyball game, as it served as a fun way to raise money for such a wonderful cause. I hope this event can be a Fontbonne tradition, and that the faculty will get a chance at redemption next year!" Ms. Bittleman held this exciting event to benefit an organization called the Breast Cancer Alliance. The organization improves survival rates and the quality of life for those that are impacted by breast cancer through better prevention, early detection, and treatment and cure. Lifestream raised a total of $600 that was donated towards the Breast Cancer Alliance. The faculty and students played two games. The students won both of them by a landslide.
