By Sydney Carmosino '21 The Cross Country Track season went great. They had two races, both have gone very well. The second freshmen race was successful.
Caroline Gifford took first, Sydney Carmosino took sixth, Irina DiCunto took ninth, and Leslie Alhakim took tenth. The varsity team did well. The indoor season will begin soon. It is short distances. Coach Tutone works hard to make the best team and individual runners possible. By Kayla Rolon '21 My first softball experience in Fontbonne was surprising because I didn't know what I was doing. Everyone around me seemed like they knew what they were doing and had been there before or they were already in the school and they had known each other but I didn't.
I just knew the girls that I had come with to the practice. We began to stretch and throw, but it was brand new. One thing I did notice when I had walked in was even though they didn't know us they were still friendly and open into meeting new people. The team welcomed me and made me feel more comfortable. Throughout that day, I had noticed a lot of things actually about my future teammates and coaches. They had everything. They were put together and organized. All the girls that came with me were also glad about how it looked and how the people were extremely welcoming and they were happy to help us. I'm grateful for them because they allowed me to be comfortable in my environment and practice. |
