Hope is an essential part of our overall being. It gives us an incentive to try harder and stay in a positive state of mind. There are often stories in which the protagonist loses everything: for example, family, friends, or personal objects- everything except for hope. The beautiful thing about it is that in the end, that hope is what gets the hero through everything and helps them prevail. Hope is more than a far-fetched idea that may seem difficult to embrace. It’s imagining what’s possible in a frightening situation and trusting in someone or something to make that dream come true.
There was once a girl who loved to run. She dreamed of becoming a famous trackrunner when
she was older. This girl worked at her dream and when she turned 8 she went into Junior Olympic
Training. For the next 3 years she went into the Junior Olympics. At the end of the third year the girlbegan to feel extreme pain in her legs. She was admitted into the hospital so she could find out what was wrong with her. The bones in the girl’s legs weren’t aligned correctly, resulting in the girl to be banned from running ever again. She was distraught by this news, especially because there was an important match that weekend. The girl didn’t plan on going, but her best friends eventually persuaded her. When her category was up, they called her name. This saddened the girl more than ever. As she walked down to tell the referee that she wasn’t able to run. When she got down there saw her whole team waiting for her. The girl didn’t know what was going on and before she knew it, she was picked up by her best friends and they ran her through the whole race.
In this story, a girl who just wanted to follow her dreams of becoming a runner faced an unexpected challenge. The girl thought she was never going to know what’d it’d be like to run another race. She got another chance.
Nothing is impossible and that there’s always room for hope in everybody’s lives, even in the darkest of times.
