After holiday dinners and parties, the host usually tries to send extra food home with other families instead of letting the food go to waste. The amount of waste generated during the Thanksgiving season is unsettling based on the numbers. About $293 million dollars in food waste is generated during Thanksgiving. This is so upsetting because 40 million Americans face hunger every single day, especially during the holiday season. Here are some recipes to avoid throwing out your leftovers this holiday season found on the Food Network’s website. Waffled Leftover Thanksgiving Brunch Ingredients 4 1/2 cups crumbled leftover stuffing 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley 2 large eggs, beaten Vegetable oil, for brushing waffle iron Sliced leftover turkey, gravy and cranberry sauce, for serving Waffle Maker Instructions
