By Gabriella Zuardo '20 It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is right around the corner which means many family get-togethers. A popular and most enjoyed holiday tradition in my family is baking. There are numerous amounts of recipes you can make for, or with your own family this Christmas. My personal favorite is struffoli which is cut up dough fried and covered in honey, sugar, lemon zest, and orange zest. There are other desserts such as lemon drop cookies, walnut balls, pecan tassies, 7 layer rainbow cookies, and sugar cookies. These are very popular with my family and may possibly be familiar to you as well. Different versions of these recipes can be found online:There are also many other Christmas desserts that I don’t make every year; however, I would like to recommend. Chocolate never fails expectations; therefore, chocolate peppermint cheesecake bites and Christmas swirl fudge are favored in my family. If you aren’t an admirer or supporter of chocolate, you can try the raspberry-cream cheese crescent danishes.
